This year (2021) I decided to take part in Jamuary: I completed and published a track every day for the month of January. Rather than let the process be lost in the sea of other material I create I decided to underline it with a corresponding album release.

With 31 tracks to choose from I had to do some significant editing to create something of moderate length and appropriate quality; in the end I narrowed it down to the 10 I liked the best.

I deliberately altered my process day to day so the tracks' styles and creation approaches vary significantly. Tracks are created in hardware using instrument samples, field recordings, various synths and my modular. Most tracks are arranged and performed on the fly as much as possible, and each track is recorded in a single take.

In addition to the music creation process there are a couple more noteworthy elements: the album art, and the cover art for each track were all created on my analogue video synth. Additionally the album and track titles were all created using a Markov chain word generator I wrote, seeded with a list of around 18k electronic music album titles.
